Mbanza-Kongo – Around 400 patients with various pathologies were treated on Saturday (12) in the city of Mbanza-Kongo, province of Zaire, at a health fair called “Fair do Reino” (Kingdom's Fair).
Promoted by the cardio-dentistry clinic, in partnership with the company JC and the provincial govt of Zaire, the fair, which was adhered by several citizens, provided those interested with cardiology, otorhinolaryngology, dermatology, venereology, urology, neurology services, among other specialties provided by 25 doctors, 12 of whom were from the country's capital, Luanda.
In statements to the press, the person in charge of the aforementioned fair, Carlos Germanao Paulo, said that it exceeded expectations, judging by the number of people who attended.
He added that many of the services made available to users at this fair do not yet exist in local public health units, which is why the cardio-dentist consultancy decided to hold this activity in the capital city of the province of Zaire.
Carlos Germano Paulo said that fairs of this kind will be held in the coming days in other municipalities of the region, to bring health services closer to the population living in remote areas.
Without revealing the date, the source said that the next health fair will be held in the border municipality of Cuimba, which is 62 km from the city of Mbanza-Kongo. /CF/DOJ
