Chicala-Cholohanga – The Commander of the Centre Military Region (RMC), Lieutenant-General Simão Carlitos Wala, on Saturday in Huambo reiterated the commitment of the Army to national management and valorization of human capital, through the promotion of vocational/technical training programmes.
The military chief was speaking in representation of the Army Commander, general João Serafim Kiteculo, at the opening of a refresher course for recently promoted junior officers, taking place in the “Heróis de Kangamba” Land Forces Instruction Centre, in Chicala-Cholohanga municipality, in Huambo Province.
In his intervention, Gen. Wala said such programmes are used as leverage for the restructuring and modernization process of the Army. He went on to explain that this challenge is essentially focused on the upgrading of the troops through short, medium and long term training programmes, so that the Army can be better and beter prepared to fulfil internal and external missions.
Lieut.-Gen. Simão Carlitos Wala stressed that this process of preparing the troops in the various specialties is intended to generate efficiency, higher degree of responsibility and professionalism, consequently the development of the Army.
