Mbanza Kongo – the Angolan Border Guard Police on Wednesday seized 2,500 liters of smuggled fuel to the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) through the municipality of Soyo, Zaire province.
Packed in plastic containers, the product was seized in the river channels of Santo António, Luamba and Nvuandembo, the spokesperson for the Zaire Provincial Command of the National Police, Intendant Luís Bernardo, told ANGOP on Thursday.
According to the source, the fuel allegedly purchased at gas stations in that district is valued at 335,250 kwanzas and it was delivered to the local General Tax Administration (AGT).
The same sour e told ANGOP that 68 DRC citizens were repatriated Wednesday, by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME), in the province of Zaire, for illegal entry and stay in the national territory.
