Luanda - An Angolan delegation takes part in the 29th Macau International Fair, which started Wednesday in China, with the aim to attract various private investments for the country.
According to the president of the Angola – China Chamber of Commerce, Luís Cupenala, the country took many private investment projects to be invested in Angola at all levels.
Quoted in a press release to which ANGOP had access, the business leader also pointed out the holding of the economic and commercial cooperation forum between Angola and China, during the fair, in an initiative of CAC and the Institute for the Promotion of Commerce and Macau investment.
According to the deputy director for African Affairs at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Li Pin, the presence of Chinese investments in Angola is increasingly visible and continues to expand.
The official, who was speaking at a courtesy meeting with Angolan journalists visiting China, said the cooperation between the two countries is excellent and sustained, denying that bilateral relations are cooling down.
He recalled that early in March during President João Lourenço's visit to China, new legal instruments were highlighted within the scope of bilateral cooperation and some specific areas defined to strengthen this relationship, with emphasis on agriculture, industry and information technology.
As regards the agriculture sector, Li Pin recalled that China has already been investing in this segment for some years in the provinces of (Huambo and Bengo), taking into account Angola's potential for large-scale production.
Also on Tuesday, the Angolan delegation was received by the management of the China-Africa Institute, with whom it interacted and exchanged ideas to strengthen exchanges between the two peoples and visited the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
