Luanda - The Angolan Skating Federation plans to present a proposal to host the African Under-19 and Senior Championships in October, during a meeting of the World Skate Executive Committee.
According to the deputy chair of the federation, speaking to the press on Tuesday, the meeting of the international body is to take place on the sixth and seventh of this month, in the city of Cotonou, Benin.
If approved, as expected, the continental events in the men category will be part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of National Independence, to be marked on November 11th.
According to the history of the sport, Angola held the first African senior competition in 2019, in the province of Luanda, which became champions by beating Mozambique in the final, 5-1, on March 10th.
The competition qualified Angola for the World Skating Games.
