Luanda - The occupancy rate in hotels and similar establishments in Angola grew by 9.2% from January to July this year, compared to the same period in 2023.
According to data presented this week in Luanda, during the meeting of the Executive's Economic team, which assessed the monthly evolution of the productive sector, hotels welcomed 847,971 visitors, while pensions and other establishments registered 334,605 guests.
In the first seven months of this year, the country registered the entry of 83 thousand and 587 tourists, against 75 thousand 675, in the same period of 2023.
Last July, the number of occupied beds increased by 40%, in line with the growth in the number of tourist arrivals, which stood at 13.8%.
In all, two thousand and 494 jobs were created. In the same period last year, this number stood at one thousand and 535, according to data assessed at the meeting of the Executive's Economic team. QCB/DOJ
