Uíge – Grutas do Nzenzo, one of the seven wonders of Angola, will benefit, in the coming days, from voice and internet services, as a result of investment by the Provincial Government of Uíge in partnership with Conecta Angola l.
The equipment for installing the services is already in the province of Uíge, the director of the Uíge Technological Center (CTU), Virgílio Cordeiro João, explained at the closing of the 1st Provincial Forum on Internet Governance, held on Friday in the city of Uíge.
The project, financed by the local provincial government and INFRASAT, aims to promote tourism in the region.
"We want tourists who visit the Nzenzo Caves to have equal access to data and voice services, as well as to be able to communicate anywhere in the world", he highlighted.
On the other hand, he informed that the Provincial Government of Uíge and the CTU are working on the reinstallation of nine free internet points in the municipalities of Uíge, Púri and Damba, which have been inoperative for around two years.
The Nzenzo caves are located in the municipality of Ambuila, in the province of Uíge, a region that has 200 registered tourist attractions.
Among the tourist sites in the region, the Tedi-Tedi and Feitiço lagoon, the Cabala caves, Luchidi river falls, Serra do Pingano and other places that lack support equipment stand out. NM/JAR/CF/DOJ
