Talatona - A digital platform called “UN Tourism” launched a competition for artificial intelligence startups, in the tourism sector, ANGOP learned on Friday (14,) in Luanda.
The plan, a global initiative, aims to identify and promote innovative solutions that, through artificial intelligence, modernize tourism services, optimize operations and promote sustainable growth in the area.
The competition is open to the participation of startups in all UN Tourism member countries and, in this sense, the Ministry of Tourism of Angola invites national startups to apply for the challenge.
According to a note that ANGOP had access to, interested parties should reach the official website: https://www.unwto.org/challenges/artificial-intelligence-challenge and fill out the online form, available in English, until March 31, 2025.
In this application process, interested parties must submit a concise presentation of the initiative, limited to 15 slides, clearly describing the issue, the proposed solution, the impact, the business model and the institutional information of the organization.
The application evaluation process will focus on the startups' value capture and growth of the initiative, impact, product and team maturity, suitability for partnerships and contribution to the sustainable development goals.
The winners will receive free access to UN Tourism, contact with investors and large corporations, personalized mentoring, as well as the registration of pilot projects in a Playbook.
UN Tourism is headquartered in Madrid, Spain, with 158 member countries, representing the private sector, educational institutions, associations and local tourism authorities.
