Lubango – At least 150 tourists, including nationals and foreigners, will participate in the 8th tourist excursion called “Tour Chik-Chik”, taking place Nov 9th, in the municipality of Gambos, province of Huíla, as part of National Independence Day (11 November).
It's a tourist and cultural event under the Chik-Chik Lubango hotel's organization, with support from the Govt of Huíla and takes place on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of national independence (November 11).
Speaking on Tuesday to ANGOP, in Lubango, the general director of the Chik-Chik hotel, Paulo Tiongo, stated that the historical landmarks of Angola and Cuba, Bunker dos Gambos, the cemetery of the bóer and the ancient Viariambundo tree are the places to be visited.
He said that the tour has already received confirmations from tourists from Namibia, South Africa, China, Brazil, Portugal and nationals, and will have performances by artists from the lev'art movement, who will present music and poetry sessions that extol independence.
The 7th edition of the activity took place last September and brought together several nationalities on the Lubango (Huíla) - Bibala (Namibe) cruise.
