Lubango - The new Director of Culture and Tourism of Huila, Tiago Pinto, said on Wednesday that he plans to meet with local businessmen in the tourism sector to encourage them to apply for the financing recently announced by the Central Bank to strengthen local tourism.

This is a financing line of up to 200 million kwanzas for the promotion of tourism, made available by the National Bank of Angola (BNA) through credit instruments, with a reduced interest rate of up to a maximum of 10 percent.

Tiago Pinto said this is an opportunity for operators to increase activities or develop new projects related to the tourism sector and attract more tourists to the province.

Huila's potential is great, we have an incomparable landscape in all the municipalities and we will work with everyone to create a province-wide tourist route," said Pinto.

He stressed the need to improve some of the accesses to the tourist attractions, as well as to strengthen the support infrastructures in the sites, which, with financing and investments from local and foreign businessmen, will make the sector more dynamic.
