Wako Kungo – The Chinese ambassador to Angola, Zhang Bin, defended on Sunday, in Wako-Kungo, province of Cuanza-Sul, the need to build tourist infrastructures, within the framework of existing cooperation between the two countries.
The diplomat, who was speaking at the end of a visit to Lodge Lupupa, said that exchanges between companies in the tourism sector in China and Angola have already started and future cooperation should be based on the construction of infrastructure to support tourism in the country.
“Another point, in addition to the construction of infrastructure, must be linked to reciprocal visits,” he said.
Zhang Bin, who admired and praised the Lodge Lupupa, pointed out that these wonders overcome the expectations, as it not only has privileged natural resources, but also a group of competent professionals, capable of turning the area into a brand, or perhaps a symbol of tourism in Angola.
In turn, the governor of Cuanza-Sul, Mara Quiosa, said that the intention will be to revolutionize the province's tourism potential and transform the fauna, flora and beautiful beaches into attractions.
“This is our will, in fact it is the Executive's guidance that the 12 municipal administrations of the province continue to facilitate whoever aims to invest in tourism”, she highlighted.
For this reason, she highlighted that they will continue to stimulate, promote and create facilities and appealed to nationals and foreigners to invest in this sector.
In turn, the Minister of Tourism, Márcio Daniel Neto, challenged foreign businesspeople to invest more in tourism, based on an attractive tax and contractual regime.
For tourism, according to the government official, more long-term investments are intended in the country, with the creation of new jobs to impact families’ lives.
He mentioned that Cuanza-Sul has infrastructure with potential that could be a starting point for growth in the sector.
Among the touristic potentiality, there are the beaches of Sumbe and Porto Amboim, the Binga Waterfalls, thermal waters of Tocota (Conda), Foz do Rio Queve, Açude da Sassa, Pedras de Ndala Mbiri, the spell stone, among others. LC/ALH/ Lodge Lupupa CF/DOJ
