Luena - More than 60 tourists of different nationalities, from Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, are expected Saturday night in the city of Luena, Angola’s eastern Moxico province, aboard the luxurious Rovos Rail train.
These are tourists from Australia, Germany, the United States of America, South Africa, Denmark, Swaziland and Brazil, who arrived at the Luau around 10 am, to keep in touch with the natural beauties of the Angolan cultural mosaic.
According to the director of the Provincial Office of Culture, Tourism and Youth and Sports, Octávio Vaz, in this city, formerly Vila Luso, tourists will be able to visit Hotel Luena, one of the oldest structures in the province, as well as the Monument to Peace Complex, the symbol of national reconciliation and concord among Angolans.
Before continuing the trip to the provinces of Bié, Huambo and Benguela, whose arrival in Lobito, the last point of this 'adventure', is scheduled for the 30th, tourists will also be able to visit the Cine Luena building, one of the monumental structures of the city, built in the colonial era.
Rovos Rail's luxury train reinforces the importance of Angolan tourism at an international level, and the first initiative of its kind took place in 2019. TC/YD/DOJ
