Lubango - Brazilian businesspeople representing 900 tourism operators and travel agencies in Brazil are visiting Huíla Province´s tourism potential within the scope of the first edition of the Fam-Trip Angola/Brazil program, which has the support of the Angolan Airlines TAAG E.P.
Fam-Trip is a travel, immersive and familiarization trip project and aims to reinforce Angola's positioning in national and foreign markets, as a promising destination for tourism and possible investments.
The project organized in partnership with the national operator Secret Angola, is also focused on promoting the country's tourism and making Brazilian tour operators and specialized media aware of investment opportunities in the sector.
Speaking to ANGOP on Monday, the day the visit began, TAAG's press officer, Regina Ngunza, highlighted that in Huíla they had already visited Tundavala Gap, the Lubango municipal market, Pululukwa Resort and Cristo Rei (Christ King) statue.
He considers it important to promote tourism, as it constitutes a way to showcase the country's potential and attract new visitors.
In this first edition, he said that the intention is to open doors for events of this nature to be held, with operators from different countries.
The representative of Brazilian businesspeople, Eduardo Barbosa, stated that Huíla offers very attractive tourism and historical sites, and that they are available to help promote tourism, as well as attract investments at all levels.
The agent said that the objective of this participation by the country is to promote tourism in Angola, through the dissemination of tourist potential and the rich natural, historical and cultural heritage, which Brazil recognises,
However, Tuesday's agenda includes a meeting between six businesspeople and the governor of Huíla, Nuno Mahapi, a visit to the Huíla Regional Museum, the Mumuila tribe, the Huíla Waterfall, the Alto Bimbe Canyon and the Serra da Leba Viewpoint, then leaving for Namibe.
