Luanda – The maritime transport of passengers and goods Cabinda/Soyo/Cabinda/ begins on April 26 this year, with the ticket price set at 15,000 kwanzas, Angop has learnt.
In its press note, the company Secil Marítima, said Thursday, in a first phase, two catamaran-type boats will serve these cities on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with two daily frequencies.
The document states that depending on the demand, Secil Marítima was going to adjust two other catamarans.
The journey between Cabinda and Soyo (province of Zaire), which lasts approximately three hours, costs 15,000 Kz (fifteen thousand kwanzas), and tickets can be purchased at passenger terminals, as well as on the website www.secilmaritima .ao.
Thus, the passenger terminals of Soyo and Cabinda will be inaugurated, respectively, on April 20 and 22.
As for the transport of passengers on the Luanda-Cabinda route, it is planned to start in May this year, and the transport of goods on this route is scheduled for next July.
According to the note, the technical, operational and seaworthiness conditions have been created in the aforementioned terminals, in accordance with the standards and rules issued by national and international maritime authorities.
"It is fundamental to guarantee comfort, safety, convenience and the provision of an excellent service to the population", underlines the document.
The northern maritime transport project, Luanda/Soyo/Cabinda/Luanda, includes the construction and renovation of passenger and cargo terminals.
