Luanda - TAAG Angola Airlines will start flying to Brazil again on a weekly basis as of Friday, after having suspended operations in mid-March due to the evolution of covid-19 in that South American country.
According to a source from the Institutional Communication and Press Office of the Transport Ministry told ANGOP today, "TAAG is gradually retaking some regional and intercontinental connections.
On 17 March this year, TAAG announced the cancellation of scheduled flights to Guarulhos (Sao Paulo), due to the worsening of the epidemiological situation and detection of new variants of the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in Brazil.
The cancellation of flights to that South American state, at the time, was due to guidance from the Angolan authorities, taking into account the measures to prevent and control the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic that has been ravaging the world since December 2019.
