Luanda - Angolan Airlines (TAAG) has strengthened its fleet by incorporating, on a leasing basis, three new Boeing 737 aircraft, namely a B737-800 cargo aircraft and two B737-700 aircraft for passenger transport.
According to a note from TAAG, sent to ANGOP today, the acquisition of the new aircraft is part of its commercial dynamics and the improvement of its service levels and options.
Highlights the report that one of TAAG's new cargo planes carried out, on the 19th of this month, its first two commercial cargo flights from the new Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport, on the Luanda/Lagos and Lagos/Luanda air route, formalizing the cargo commercial link between two of Africa's largest economies (Angola and Nigeria).
This important milestone supports the company's strategy of progressively increasing its participation in the regional African air cargo market.
At the same time, and in order to provide greater convenience of services to passengers and reinforce flight availability, at a time of year with high demand, the two Boeing 737-700 passenger aircraft, with capacity for 136 passengers, 12 in business class and 124 in economy class, ensure connections to destinations domestic and regional routes with greater traffic.
