Dondo - Road traffic on Estrada Nacional 230, in the Dondo-Alto Dondo section, municipality of Cambambe, will be partially closed from January 27th to February 3rd (Saturday), due to paving work on the bridge over the Capacala River.
A note from the Municipal Administration, which mentions the construction company NORAFRICA, indicates that the closure will occur from 7 am to 6:30 pm on these days.
The temporary ban will also allow earthmoving of the route that serves as an alternative, from the start of construction of the new bridge, in June 2023.
Car traffic congestion will occur, from the “K” roundabout to the fire station (in the part before the bridge), in the direction of Luanda-Ndalatando, as well as to the Veterinary Department in Alto Dondo (in the northern part).
The document explains that automobile circulation will be assisted with the presence of traffic regulatory agents and signalmen from the contractor, establishing the direction of priority during the course of the work.
The bridge is an obligatory passage from the city of Dondo (seat of the municipality) to the peripheral neighborhoods of Cacesse, Alto Dondo, Sonefe and to provinces such as Luanda and the South, Northeast and East regions of Angola.
The bridge over the Capacala River is a mixed infrastructure (concrete and metal), which is being built to replace the previous one, destroyed by floods in May 2021, which also affected the neighborhood of Cacesse. It is 11 meters wide and 40 meters long. MF/IMA/AC/DOJ
