Luanda - The 3rd edition of the Angola Startup Summit/2024, which closed on Saturday (18) in Luanda, distinguished the technological entrepreneurs who stood out the most over the three days of the exhibition.
Among the most highlighted, Unitel, one of the promoters of the fair, distinguished the startup 'Biscateiro', which stood out in the Innovation category, 'Mirabilis Game Studio', in the Social Impact category and 'Ecomap', which had the best participation in the event.
On the other hand, the National Institute for the Support of Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), highlighted the startup 'Tchiwa', winner of the tourism sector, 'Agricargas', in the Agribusiness category, 'Buka', in the education category and 'Aki', in the Digital category.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the also considered 'largest technological entrepreneurship exchange', the chairman of the Board of Directors of INAPEM, João Nkosi, considered the various solutions presented by the startups that participated in the event to be satisfactory.
According to data provided by the organization, the event had more than 500 expressions of interest from emerging companies that intended to register, of which 208 completed registration and 135 were present at the event, after being qualified.
Among the most prominent sectors are tourism, education, services and technology.
The event was attended by startups from eight provinces, including Huíla, Cabinda, Namibe, Luanda and Uíge, as well as representatives from Portugal, Brazil, Mozambique, China and Macau.
For three days, the event was marked by the signing of cooperation agreements to strengthen the ecosystem of emerging businesses and innovation in Angola, as well as allowing participants to discuss various topics through conferences and lectures.
Results of the Startup Summit/2024
In terms of agreements, in the 3rd edition of the Angola Startup Summit/2024, four were initialed, whose protagonists were INAPEM, the Institute for Administrative Modernization (IMA), the Luanda Entrepreneur Academy (AEL), BFA Gestão de Activos and the Macau Entrepreneurship and Innovation Association - China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.

The protocols signed between AEL, BFA Gestão de Activos and the Macau Entrepreneurship and Innovation Association - China and Portuguese-speaking Countries serve to support entrepreneurs through business training, financing and international exchange.
The event took place at the Talatona Convention Center, with a view to seeking investment opportunities, through the exchange of experiences and doing business.
Under the motto 'Fostering new business models and verticals', the fair was attended by more than 135 startups, 20 institutional stands and 45 speakers.
Among the participants, entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, students, public and private institutions interested in promoting innovation, the use of new technologies and the country's digital transformation stand out. HM/QCB/DOJ
