Uíge – The inhabitants of the municipal headquarter of Púri, northern Uíge, have had broadband Internet service since the end of July, provided by the satellite telecommunications company INFRASAT.
In addition to Púri, the service already benefits the municipalities of Sanza-Pombo and Maquela do Zombo.
The information was disclosed by the Infrasat's manager, Célsio Inácio, during an interview about internet expansion projects in the province.
He clarified that the service installed in the Púri Municipal Administration square is allowing users to be more connected with the world and facilitating academic research, among other advantages.
Célsio Inácio announced the implementation of another telephone project to cover remote areas of the province through the support of the Uíge government.
