Luanda - The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, on Thursday discussed with the CEO of Elsewedy Electric, Ahmed Elsewey, aspects related to the company's investment in the country, with emphasis on the energy sector.

At the end of the audience granted to him on the sidelines of ANGOTIC 2024, Ahmed Elsewey, whose company has been operating in the Angolan market since 2014, told journalists that he had analysed with the President of the Republic the issue of supplying electric smart meters.

He added that cooperation in the technological and digital area was also discussed, a sector that he considered to be very important for Angola's development, emphasizing that they talked about his company's presence in the Angolan market, where they have already been involved in building electricity stations and creating transmission lines and solar projects.

In turn, the regional director of Elsewedy Electric, Ahmed Amin, reaffirmed that the company will continue to invest in Angola, taking into account that the country offers opportunities and guarantees.

He assured that they have a lot of confidence, emphasising that it is a country unlike any other in Africa, adding that they have a lot to do in the sector in which their company operates, revealing that their aim is to contribute to Angola's development.
