Luanda - Namibia's Minister of Information, Communication and Technology, Emma Theofelus, expressed her country's interest in continuing to develop mutually advantageous partnerships with Angola in various areas.
The minister, who was speaking to the press, within the scope of the 4th International Forum on Information Technologies ANGOTIC 2024 held in Angolan capital, Luanda, said the Namibian president may travel soon to Angola to address issues linked to energy, oil and other areas of great interest to both States.
"At this point, we want to analyze how countries that share borders can reduce, for example, what has to do with connectivity costs and other ways of using the advantage of being a border country", the minister said.
Angola and Namibia cooperate in several sectors, such as Transport, Energy and Water, Health, Oil, Fisheries, Agriculture, Defense and Security, among others, at bilateral level and within the framework of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
The event is the largest International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies in Angola promoted annually by the government.
This 4th edition ran under the motto “Digitize, connect and innovate” and aimed to promote debate around current global and future ICT themes and facilitate networking for government entities, exhibitors and experts.
