Malanje - The minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Mass Media, Manuel Homem, pointed out, this Wednesday, the universalization of information, the digital and social inclusion of citizens as a goal that is materialized, with the expansion of media libraries across the country. .
He said that the Government intends to proceed with the project of building more Media Library, in the remaining regions of the country, and recalled that there are currently only 10 of such infrastructures in the country.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Malanje Provincial Media Library, called “Rei Ngola Kiluanje”, the minister explained that such infrastructures contribute to the diversification of research sources by citizens, along with their permanent training in various areas of information and communication technologies.
Manuel Homem also highlighted the expansion of proximity media libraries, which are operational in six provinces of the country, namely Bié, Malanje, Luanda, Cabinda, Uíge and Moxico, which illustrates the importance and impact of such services on the lives of communities.
In his turn, the governor of Malanje, Norberto dos Santos “Kwata Kanawa”, said that the media library will add value to the student and academic community.
Norberto dos Santos “Kwata Kanawa” stressed that the attribution of the name of King Ngola Kiluanje to the Media Library contributes to perpetuating the figure of the sovereign of Ndongo and valuing the local culture.
On his turn, the director general of the Angola Media Library Network (REMA), Bengue Saúka, stressed that the Malanje structure will encourage creativity, innovation, art and culture.
