Luanda - The Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, on Saturday in Luanda praised the modernisation process of the Angola Press News Agency (ANGOP).

The Minister of State, who was speaking to the press after visiting ANGOP's stand at the 4th ANGOTIC2024 Forum, expressed satisfaction with the company's technological innovation process, considering that it is on the right track.

'We are following the modernization of ANGOP and what it is providing,' he said.

In a brief interaction with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the agency, Josué Isaías, the Minister of State received information on company's modernization process.

'It is remarkable that there is a movement of modernization and evolution of all media companies in recent years. Despite the challenges, there is a strong will to transform and do better, and this is the message received from the boards of directors of the companies we visited. They are all to be congratulated and we wish them to continue in this direction', he stressed.

On the other hand, he highlighted the quality and level of the products presented at the forum by companies and startups.

'I am very pleased, above all, to also find local capacities in the field of technological innovation, which has been a challenge facing our society, in particular our economy. We find here some bets and capabilities, not only from foreign companies that are exhibiting their products, but also from national companies that are developing these skills,' he added.

Under the motto 'Digitize, connect and innovate', the event, which closes this Saturday, has the participation of 125 startups and 70 exhibiting companies, in addition to 170 participants, including speakers and speakers, of which 65 are foreigners.

The event is organized by the Government, with the aim of promoting the debate around current, global and future ICT issues, as well as sharing knowledge, facilitating networking between government entities, exhibitors and experts. ASS/MCN/DOJ
