Lubango - The province of Huila will participate with 30 startups in the 5th edition of the International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies of Angola (ANGOTIC 2025), as presented on Friday, in the city of Lubango.
These are startups related to digital transformation and agribusiness, bringing digital solutions to solve problems in all areas of knowledge.
The local director of the National Institute for the Support of Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), Julieta de Oliveira, assured that the province will participate in the event, as it is a province that has been highlighted in the spotlight of technologies.
According to the source, work is being done to further promote the field of technologies and to have sustainable startups in this field, so that in the future they can become micro-entrepreneurs.
"We are currently incubating 30 startups, and we are preparing them to participate in the event. In 2024, we will participate with five and from this participation we have obtained a memorandum with Huawei and we have created a laboratory with the sponsorship of the aforementioned multinational company," she said.
The 5th edition of ANGOTIC, to be held in Luanda on June 12, 13 and 14, under the theme "50 years of communication, modernization and development of Angola", will bring together several themes related to connectivity, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital DNA and trust in companies.
ANGOTIC was internationalized in 2018, where it reached a level of nearly five thousand participants, with an average of 21 sessions over the three days and 115 speakers, with 33 participating companies and 120 startups. In 2020 and 2021, it was not held due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 2024 edition reached 15,000 participants over three days, with the presence of companies and more than 100 startups. EM/MS/DAN/AMP
