Luanda – The second day of the 3rd edition of ANGOTIC 2023, the International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies of Angola, was marked by the launch of 10 small satellites as part of the project Design and Construction.
The display of the small satellites launched from the Special Forces Training School in Cabo Ledo locality (Luanda), was followed in real time at the Talatona Convention Centre.
The presentation of the Media Development Strategic Plan for the five-year period 2023/2027 by the secretary of State for Media, Nuno Caldas, was also one of the high points.
The official said that the dignification and valorisation of the human resources, the institutional reform and adequacy of the sector legislative package is part of the plan.
African and North American specialists also stressed the importance of sharing data between African countries to boost the continent's economic and social development.
The day was also marked by the disclosure of Information about the preparation by the National Meteorology and Geophysics Institute of Angola (INAMET) of a mobile application to provide precise information about the weather forecast for the country.
The second day also recorded the signing of an agreement between the Angolan company LiraLink Technology and the Chinese ZTE, which will make possible the construction of a 4G and 5G mobile phones factory in Angola.
A cooperation protocol was signed between the executive director of the National Institute of Support to Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), Bráulio Augusto, and the Angola Cables CEO, Ângelo Gama.
The protocol aims to guarantee services and resources to entrepreneurs and promote internet access in the country and to facilitate technological growth and the creation of a sustainable digital business environment in the Country’s 18 provinces. ANM/AC/Amp/jmc
