Cacuaco - Three national citizens suspected of drug trafficking were presented Tuesday in Cacuaco Municipality, in Luanda, by the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), through its Investigation Department at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport.
According to SIC, the alleged criminals hid the drugs in tubes from the handles of suitcases and in table cloths.
The chief superintendent, Manuel Halaiwa, in operational coordination with other forces of the security system at Luanda Airport, SIC arrested the three citizens also for other illegal acts.
He said that among them, there is a passenger named Raquel Marta, 48, who came from Brazil with suitcases, where 13 kilos of cocaine were concealed in 25 packages of table cloths and two packages of sheets.
The chief superintendent added that other two citizens Sebastião Macaia, 29, and Katia Tumba, 24, who intended to lift 4 suitcases where there were embedded in the handle tubes about one and a half kilos of the same drug.
He said that the alleged criminals were already presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office.
All the arrests were made during the landing time of Angolan planes belonging to TAAG Angola Airlines coming from São Paulo, Brazil.
