Cambambe - Road traffic on national highway 230, which links Luanda/Dondo, northern Cuanza Norte province, and the rest of the country, was restored on Sunday, the Government of Cuanza Norte has announced.
Traffic had been disrupted since Saturday morning, as a result of the collapse of bridge over the Cacesse river due to the rain that hit the region..
The deputy governor for the Technical Area and Infrastructures, Luís Mendonça, said that it has to do with makeshift bridge, until the National Roads Institute of Angola ( INEA) decides to build a definitive one.
As a result of the disruption of road traffic, around 300 cargo and passenger vehicles remained stranded at Dondo, Cuanza Norte province.
