Huambo – A newborn baby was found this morning in a ravine in the Boa Vista neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city of Huambo.
According to the residents, when they passed through the ravine, around eight o'clock, they found a cloth wrapped around the trash can in the aforementioned erosion and, when opening it, they found the fetus.
It has already been removed by the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) to the morgue of the Huambo General Hospital.
Eugénia Marta, a resident of the neighborhood, lamented this situation and asked for more care from pregnant women, who need to be called upon to assume the consequences of their actions, regardless of their financial condition.
She said this is the third time that such a regrettable situation has occurred this year in the area, hence the need to call for a change in this behavior and greater women responsibility.
Analdeth Quirino, another resident, said that pregnant women need to be called to reason, as being a mother is a blessing and nothing justifies a human being throwing a fetus out in the open.
The last case of its kind and, incidentally, in the same ravine, happened last Monday.
The municipality of Huambo, one of 11 in the province with the same name, has an estimated population of 999,605 inhabitants, residing in 433 neighborhoods, distributed in three municipalities, Chipipa, Calima and Sede, the latter with six sectors (Bandeira, Cacilhas, Capango, Nzaji, Samacau and Vilinga).
