Huambo - The Strategic Objective Security Police (PSOE) on Thursday praised the performance of the Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) in disseminating news to keep citizens abroad informed.
The recognition was expressed at the end of a visit to the ANGOP office in Huambo province, under the 28th anniversary of the creation of this body of the National Police.
During their contact with the staff of the country's only news agency, the PSOE agents were informed about the historical dimension of the emergence of this media organization and the progress made in all areas, with a focus on modernization and technological evolution.
The head of operations of the PSOE unit in Huambo, inspector Alberto Rogério Lameirão, highlighted ANGOP's contribution to promoting the country's image abroad and, above all, to disseminate information that discourages the vandalism of public property.
Lameirão said the corporation will intensify preventive measures in order to continue the strategic plans to improve the living conditions of the population, as well as repelling any attempt to vandalize public infrastructures.
ANGOP's delegate in Huambo, Aurelio Janeiro Sacalei Soi, explained that the news is published in real time and reaches a global audience in text, photography, video, audio and infographics.
He spoke about the importance of the only news agency in the national and international context, as well as how to access the portal.
The Strategic Objectives Security Police was founded on 24th 1997 and is responsible for protecting the country's public social and economic objectives.
