Huambo - The employment and opportunities project for Angola's youth, an initiative of the government, was put out to public consultation on Friday in Huambo province by the National Institute for Employment and Professional Training (INEFOP).
António Pereira, INEFOP assistant director, said the government is committed to promote an inclusive youth project to create jobs in the country, adding that the action promoted by the government, in partnership with the World Bank, prioritizes young people in vulnerable conditions, with physical disabilities and with no high school education completed to have access to job market.
He explained that the public consultation served to gather contributions for the consolidation of the project defined for the 2025-2028 period in the country, whose aim is to reduce unemployment rate and combat job discrimination.
António Pereira said that a multi-sector strategy is needed to stimulate the creation of new jobs, which would help build up the economy and future prospects with the contribution of young people with entrepreneurial skills and vocational training.
