Luanda - The First Lady of Angola, Ana Dias Lourenço, on Saturday in Luanda, praised the talent of Angolans in the performance of classical music.
Ana Dias Lourenço made the statement at the end of the final classical music master class concert organized by the Ngana Zenza Foundation for Community Development (FDC).
The First Lady thanked the conductor, Ricardo Cruz, for taking up the challenge to show that Angolans are capable of playing classical music.
For Ana Dias Lourenço, the audience left the venue satisfied and relaxed, having listened to good music.
The concert started at 7 pm. The orchestra opened the show with the national anthem.
Over the course of an hour, the orchestra entertained the crowd at the Belas Conference Centre (CCB) with a variety of songs, including 'Filhos de África' and 'Muxima', which were met with applause from the audience.
The initiative is part of the First Lady's activities and the Ngana Zenza Foundation's objectives to promote sustainable, inclusive and supportive community development, contributing to the valorisation of culture and fundamental moral and social values.
The concert brought together young people from different provinces of the country, aged between 14 and 30, selected through a registration and assessment process.
