Luanda - The 2022 National Journalism Prize will be announced in November in honour of the month of Angola's National Independence proclamation.
The professionals interested in competing for the National Journalism Award, whose registration ends on July 25, should send their stories via WhatsApp (923415902), e-mail: premiosjornalis-mo@minttics.gov.ao, through the Facebook page (Angola National Journalism Award), deliver them at the Anibal de Melo Press Center (CIAM) or at the provincial delegations of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Media.
Launched in April this year, the contest is open to all Angolan journalists whose work has been published in the country between January 1, 2021 and April 25, 2022, through Internet portals, newspapers and magazines by duly legalized media outlets.
Entries must be submitted through a form which must include, besides the participant’s name, data from the Identity Card, Professional Card, and Service Pass number.
In the press category the award covers reports, interviews, dossiers, chronicles, cartoons and analysis texts, which include comments, articles and editorials, in radio and television reports, interviews, chronicles, dossiers, cultural, economic, social, political, sports, musical or international programmes, while in photojournalism the genres of report, single photo and album, as well as photo gallery.
The jury of the National Journalism Prize 2022 is composed by Anastácio de Brito (president), Fernando Tati (juror for the press category), Arlindo Macedo (radio), Mariana Ribeiro (television) and Quintiliano dos Santos (photojournalism).
Happening since 2008, the Journalism Award was institutionalized to recognize merit and promote the quality of the exercise of the profession.
