Talatona - The focal points of the Electronic Commission of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) discussed, Monday, in the Province of Luanda, the Action Plan for this sector until 2025.
This action plan has interoperability as its motto, especially looking at the challenges that the countries of the community face regarding economic diversification, the improvement of public services, mobility within the community itself and trade.
Speaking to the press, Meick Afonso, director of the Institute for Administrative Modernisation (IMA), who is also the spokespsman for the event, said that the meeting also assessed the actions to be carried out in terms of cooperation, as well as those related to the implementation of projects until 2025.
He said that the meeting also served for an assessment of the proposal for the rules of procedure of the interministerial meeting towards the technical group, the focal points of the electronic commission in order to take more concrete actions for the next steps.
The mentioned meeting is part of the II Interministerial Meeting on Electronic Governance and the XI Meeting of Ministers of Communications, both of the CPLP, which will take place from 17 to 21 of this month.
Under the motto "Communications Challenges in the Digital Age", the meetings aim, among other things, to take stock of the degree of implementation of e-Governance actions carried out over the last few years in the Member States, as well as to analyse the status and fulfilment of the actions of the CPLP Digital Agenda.
The biennial meeting of CPLP Ministers of Communication, also attended by secretaries of state of the member states, is held every two years, focussing in particular on actions related to concertation and cooperation in the sectors they lead. KAM/MAG/MRA/jmc
