Luanda - National Police (PN) recorded 21 deaths in the last 24 hours across the country.
The data were released by police spokesman for Operation Safe Christmas, Commissioner Orlando Bernardo, who said ten homicides were recorded.
Taking stock of the police activity conducted in the Christmas, the police spokesperson added that eight deaths were due to road accidents, one for alleged drowning and two suicides by hanging.
He also said that four groups of criminals were dismantled in the provinces of Zaire (2), Luanda and Cuando Cubango (1) each, and 11 firearms were seized in Luanda (04), Cuanza Norte (06) and Huambo ( 01).
He also said five vehicles were seized for violating road traffic code, three of which in Cunene, one in Bié and Cuanza Norte, and 103 motorcycles in the provinces of Cuanza Norte (35), Bié (27), Zaire (21), Cabinda (6), Lunda Norte (6), Cuando Cubango (4), Moxico (3) and Huambo (1).
From 24 to 25 December, 22, 882 police members were involved in patrolling and ensuring religious and festive activities.
Orlando Bernardo considered the public security situation in the country stable.
