Uíge – Angolan National Police on Monday, in Uíge Province, seized four hundred kilograms of Marijuana, commonly known locally as liamba.
The drug, coming from the municipalities of Ambuíla, Bembe and Mucaba, and which was destined for the province of Luanda, was presented Tuesday to the local press, in an event guided by the director of the Provincial Press Office of the National Police, chief superintendent Freitas Zamas.
He said that the seizure of the product resulted from a denunciation, revealing that it was hidden in bags inside a MACOM bus transport company.
As a result of this action, two national citizens were arrested for alleged involvement in drug trafficking.
On the other hand, the officer reported that, this Tuesday, 24 other citizens, accused of various crimes, were also presented to the authorities.
