Luanda - The superintendent of the National Police, Jorge Cabral, recently highlighted in Luanda the importance of the awareness-raising project on technological inclusion, called 'Digital Citizen', in strengthening electronic interaction between citizens and public institutions.

Quoted in a press release, to which ANGOP had access on Sunday, the source reinforced that the initiative contributes to greater digital inclusion, an essential factor for building a more connected and modern society.

Speaking about the training of Talatona municipal command staff within the scope of the project that has been developed by the Interbank Service Company (EMIS), he also stressed that the event will have a positive impact on digital inclusion, as well as the training of the population.

Jorge Cabral considered the training an important step to ensure that citizens can be provided by public services in an efficient and inclusive manner.

The Digital Citizen project aims to prepare the population for the appropriate use of new technologies, contributing to the improvement of public administration and access to services in an easiest and safest way.

The training constitutes another phase of the project which has been extended to several regions of the country and promotes access to digital literacy among the Angolan population.

The event is considered a way of showing that training related to the correct use of technology can boost the development of a fairer society, as well as being more accessible to everyone for the country's future.

The training of National Police staff, which aimed to clarify the benefits of new technologies in accessing public services, brought together 21 participants, including police officers and members of civil society.
