Ondjive - One hundred and fifty-eight stolen livestock, including cattle, goats, pigs and donkeys, were recovered by the national police, as part of the second phase of the 'Okwamena Eliko no Cunene' operation, held from July 11 to August 9 this year.

Ondjive - One hundred and fifty-eight stolen livestock, including cattle, goats, pigs and donkeys, were recovered by the national police, as part of the second phase of the 'Okwamena Eliko no Cunene' operation, held from July 11 to August 9 this year.
The information was provided Tuesday, by the director of institutional and press communication of the National Police in Cunene, chief superintendent Nicolau Tuvecalela, adding that of the animals recovered, 103 are cattle, 42 goats, 7 pigs and 6 donkeys.
According to the official, in the same operation, a three-wheeled motorbike and an AKM-type firearm were seized, as well as 44 citizens detained, including 39 nationals and one Namibian.
Data from the Government of the Province of Cunene indicate the existence of 1,100,000 head of cattle, 78% of which are owned by traditional breeders.PEM/LHE/MCN/CF/DOJ
