Lubango - Two drug dealers, aged 29 and 26, were arrested by Police in the city of Lubango, Huíla province, for cocaine trafficking, the head of the Investigation Department of Criminal Offenses, intendant Pedro Cassoma Mendes reported today, Monday.
Speaking to ANGOP, Pedro Cassoma Mendes said that the arrests took place in flagrant, in the early hours of Friday, with the 1st case occurring in the “Comandante Cow-Boy” neighborhood, when the 29-year-old young man was selling three portions of the drug, worth 15.000 kwanzas.
He highlighted that two hours later, the 2nd arrest took place, in the “Doutor António Agostinho Neto” neighborhood, at a time when the 26-year-old citizen was selling 4 portions of the product at the same price of the previous one.
During interrogation, according to the police officer, the suspects claimed that the drug was supplied on the same night by someone identified only as “Jerry” and after sales, they would receive a larger quantity.
He detailed that efforts are continuing to locate the supplier, noting that they will be presented to a Public Prosecutor's Office for subsequent purposes. BP/MS/CF/DOJ
