Mbanza Kongo – Three Angolan fishermen who had disappeared seven days ago on the sea coast of the municipality of Nzeto, Zaire province, were rescued alive today.
They went to sea last Friday on an artisanal fishing vessel.
The delegate from the Port Authority of Nzeto, Daniel Nkula da Conceição, said that the three were recovered in the commune of Kinzau, municipality of Tomboco, by a ship that was traveling nearby where they were on board a vessel without fuel.
“After the work, the vessel they were traveling in ran out of fuel, having been dragged to the commune of Kinzau, municipality of Tomboco, and, thanks to a ship passing through that perimeter, the fishermen were rescued alive”, he explained.
The official advised the “seamen” to respect maritime navigation rules, to avoid tragedies.
The province of Zaire has a coastline of 250 kilometers, crossed by the municipalities of Soyo, Nzeto and Tomboco. J.L./CF/DOJ
