Cacuaco - The partnership between public and private institutions is helping to make the dream of owning a decent home come true for Angolans, particularly young people, Torres Bunga, head of the Land Management and Housing Department of the Ministry of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing, said Saturday in Luanda.
The official made the statement at the end of a visit by the Secretary of State for Housing, Manuel da Costa André, to the “Onzo Yami - A Minha Casa, O Meu Lar” housing project, which is being built in the urban district of Sequele.
According to the official, the public-private partnership makes it possible to gradually resolve the issue of home ownership for young people.
“The state is providing the opportunity to legalize the land so that companies can develop their investments,” explained the head of the department.
In his view, this is the path that the government defends to sort out the problem of housing for young people.
Bunga appealed to the business community to join projects of this kind, since the country needs them.
He hoped that companies would appear with all the necessary conditions to make and carry out this investment in the housing sector.
