Malanje - The works on the 14 buildings in the Malanje Province's Housing Project, in Carreira de Tiro neighborhood, have been physically completed in the order of 80%, with only the assembly of the wastewater treatment plant and other technical aspects remaining.
The information was given on Friday by the national director of the Housing Fund, Hermenegildo Gaspar, having highlighted that the delivery of the undertaking is scheduled for November this year, after two postponements, in 2022 and 2023, for different reasons.
Speaking on the sidelines of the visit of the minister of Public Works, Urbanisation and Housing, Carlos dos Santos, to the aforementioned project, Hermenegildo Gaspar specified that the apartments, totaling 212, are 100% completed, but the other infrastructures will be built in a second phase.
He also announced the start soon of the second phase, which also includes 14 other buildings and the construction of another Housing project in the province, with more than two thousand apartments, after the completion of this first phase.
The 14 buildings began to be built in 2017, having 2020 as deadline but was extended due to financial issues and Covid-19.
Under the responsibility of the contractor Ingenium-Engenharia e Construção, the project occupies an area of seven hectares and reserves additional public and private services such as health units, shops, children's space, green areas and others for the future.
