Luanda - The Nexus Association´s chairperson, Ayrton Canje, considered public awareness at community and institutional level to be essential for greater prevention against sexual abuse in Angola.
Ayrton Canje was speaking at a press conference of the II Edition of the “Cultural Evening” project, held on Wednesday, in Luanda.
He said that lately there have been many cases of sexual abuse in the country, which is why it is important for everyone to get involved in combating this evil.
He highlighted that his association will continue to raise awareness among the population, for greater prevention, through lectures, debates, among other initiatives.
The Cultural Evening will take place on the 31st of current month, at Palácio de Ferro (Luanda), to deeply think on the issue of sexual abuse.
The program includes moments of theater, music, dance, poetry, among others.
The “Cultural Evening" project has been promoted since 2022, by the Nexus Association, in partnership with the Mosaiko Institute. It has the support of the Dutch Embassy.
The Nexus Association was founded in 2020, to address issues inherent to education and culture.
