Sumbe - A group of 2,000 ladies from the Evangelical Congregational Church of Angola (IECA), on Saturday in the commune of Gangula, Sumbe municipality, Cuanza-Sul began to address issues related to the challenges of women in globalisation and reproductive health.
It is regarding a camping which brings together women from the provinces of Cuanza-Sul, Luanda, Bengo, Cuanza-Norte, Uíge and Malanje, who also intend to address issues of food security, the role of Christian women in the church and in society, her influence and the challenges in today's world, among others.
The event lasting four days, is being held under the slogan “Let us return to God and witness to the love of Christ”.
Speaking to ANGOP, the secretary of IECA in Cuanza-Sul province, Reverend Armando dos Santos, said that it was crucial for all women to be equipped with education, for good social interaction on a daily basis and, above all, to draw closer to God, who is the source of life.
The reverend assured that congregational evangelical women are the moral reserve of a society.
With regard to the themes addressed at the camping, the Reverend said that they have the support of technicians from the local offices of Health and Social Action, Family and Gender Equality. SN/LC/ALH/MRA/DOJ
