Ndalatando – MPLA’s general secretary Paulo Pombolo requested this Sunday the collaboration of churches in the implementation of the project to moralize society “More Angola, more citizenship”.
Paulo Pombolo made the appeal during the Thanksgiving service held at the Evangelical Baptist Church of Angola (IEBA) in Ndalatando, Cuanza-Norte province.
The politician said he hopes for greater involvement of the church in the political and civic education project, to change the mentality and, fundamentally, the posture and attitude of Angolans.
Therefore, he also invited churches to continue disseminating messages to educate the population on the conservation of public assets.
“We cannot allow the heritage built by the State and made available to the population to be vandalized, often by our children, brothers, people we live with”, he stressed.
The leader's participation in the service is part of the party's program of visits to strengthen relations with recognized churches.
In turn, Reverend Lusadio Nzuik, who led the service, appealed to Christians to continue promoting peace, love and forgiveness among Angolans.
Peace, he reinforced, love and forgiveness are intrinsically linked and are indispensable for the material and spiritual growth of the nation.
The general secretary of the MPLA ended, afternoon, a three-day working visit to the province of Cuanza-Norte, where he maintained contact with the different structures of the organization in the municipalities of Cazengo and Lucala, as well as visiting social enterprises. DS/IMA/ART/CF/DOJ
