Malanje- The president of the Solidarity Support Movement of Angola (MOVANGOLA), António Sawanga, today called for the massive participation of citizens in the General Population and Housing Census (RGPH-2024), taking place from next July in the country.
António Sawanga launched this appeal at the end of a visit to the churches Fraternidade Evangelica de Pentecostes na África in Angola “Bom Deus” and Assembly of God Pentecostal Ministério Ebenézer, within the scope of the partnership between the organization and religious institutions in favor of the moralization of society.
The association leader made it known that MOVANGOLA is planning a national awareness campaign for adherence to the census process, taking into account its importance in measuring the population rate and its social conditions, indicators that will help the government to design projects adjusted to the context and improve public policies.
Meanwhile, he reiterated society's involvement in combating the vandalization of public assets and promoting respect for sovereign bodies and the defense of peace, tasks for which churches must assume themselves as active agents, towards building a harmonious country that privileges dialogue.
António Sawanga ended today a four-day working day in the province of Malanje, which included a meeting with the vice-governor of Malanje for the Political, Economic and Social sector, Franco Mufinda, donation of various goods in the municipality of Luquembo, meeting with the civil society and visits to churches.
