Lisbon - Angolan nationalist Rodrigues João Lopes “Ludy Kissassunda” died Wednesday in Setubal, Portugal, victim of illness, a family source has told Angop.
Among the positions held, Ludy Kissassunda was director general of defunct Information and Security Department of Angola (DISA), as well as governor of the northern provinces of Malanje and Zaire.
Born in northern Zaire province, Kissassunda early joined the struggle against the Portuguese colonialism.
He was member of the Political Bureau and Central Committee of MPLA and member of the Revolution Council.
