Luanda - Former Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) journalist José Carlos Gomes passed away Friday, at the Cardeal Dom Alexandre do Nascimento Hospital Complex, in Luanda, victim of illness.
José Gomes retired less than a year ago from ANGOP, a company he joined in 1986, through the Huíla Povincial Delegation.
In Luanda, the journalist performed, among others, the functions of ANGOP delegate in the district Ingombota and coordinator of the agency’s Office in Ramiros district, outskirts of Luanda.
José Carlos Gomes was born in 1964 and leaves behind a wife and children. OHA/TED/jmc
