Luanda - The former journalist of the Angola Press Agency (ANGOP), Mário Pedro Segundo, died on Friday in Luanda, at the Bispo Emílio de Carvalho General Hospital of Viana, victim of illness.
While working at ANGOP, for about 4 decades, Mário Pedro Segundo has served as deputy delegate of the agency in Portugal, National Editor-in-Chief, International Editor-in-Chief, Editor of the Political Desk and Head of the Africa Division.
He joined the news agency in 1978, where he carried out numerous reporting work inside and outside the country.
Mário Pedro, was born in the municipality of Dande, Bengo province, leaves a widow and four (4) children.
The retired journalist would have turned 67 years old in December this year. SC/MRA/DOJ
