Luanda - The Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Technology, Pascoal Borges Alé Fernandes, on Wednesday in Luanda encouraged the Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) to develop and improve strategies for efficient communication and improved journalistic coverage in all municipalities.
Pascoal Borges Alé Fernandes made the statement during the opening of the VI Advisory Council of ANGOP, which takes place from the 18th to the 20th of this month, under the motto “ANGOP – Expanding Communication to Reinforce its Affirmation”, having considered that the company continues to be the first in the coverage and dissemination of issues of the political, social and economic life of the country.
According to the official, the intention is to allow ANGOP to counter the fact that some foreign agencies give the public to understand that in Angola there are prohibited subjects.
Pascoal Borges Alé Fernandes also took the opportunity to congratulate Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) in advance for its decisive role in the dissemination of relevant information to Angolan society
In this sense, he stressed that it is essential that ANGOP continues to overcome the challenges of the contemporary world, disseminating the Angolan reality more widely, as a way of making the country known and projecting its image across borders.
During the VI Advisory Council of ANGOP, the participants will discuss issues relevant to the competitive development of ANGOP, the degree of implementation of the recommendations issued by the V Advisory Council, held in 2021/ANM/VM/DOJ.
