Luanda - Three computer laboratories were delivered, on Friday in Luanda, to 3 public education institutions, by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Media.
The laboratories, with 39 computers, were transferred to the school 1540 Emanuel, based in the urban district of Rangel and under the supervision of the catholic Sisters of Mercy, to Liceu nº 8054 and to the Secondary Institute of Administration and Management School nº 6047, located in the district of Nova Vida.
At the delivery, the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Media, Mário Oliveira, said that the initiative is part of the Government's “Digital Angola” programme, to increase digital literacy and improve the quality of education.
He mentioned that this action provides tools for study and investigation, adding that the country level already installed were around 70 laboratories, with the aim of improving information and dissuading fake news.
Mário Oliveira appealed to information technology and media companies to embrace this Government programme, which aims to install computer laboratories at educational institutions in the country.
At the time, the school management expressed gratitude for the gesture and committed to taking care of the resources made available to them. ANM/OHA/MRA/DOJ
